GALA Global Arts & Leadership Alliances and Future Team Mexico are excited to announce a volunteer call to collaborate with the renowned Mexican artist Cristina Maldonado during her performance tour in Europe. This tour includes four stops: Pristina, Kosovo; Tarrega, Spain; Rennes, France; and Rouen, France, taking place in August and September 2024. We are specifically looking for volunteers for the stops in Kosovo and France. This is an unparalleled opportunity for young creatives with an entrepreneurial spirit and a love for the performing arts.

GALA Global Arts & Leadership Alliances is a hub for young creatives shaping the future of international cultural management. Future Team Mexico is a global network of young leaders and professionals from 180 countries dedicated to promoting peace, cooperation, and intercultural understanding. About Cristina Maldonado

Cristina Maldonado is a Mexican intermedia artist based in Prague, specializing in immersive, participatory, and relational art, video performance, performative writing, and site-specific performances. For the last two decades, she has been independently directing, performing, mentoring, and leading workshops and collaborations. Currently, she focuses on mediation concepts and uncharted human relationships, working with devised theater and dialogical methodologies. She is an associate artist of IN SITU, the European platform for artistic creation in public space, and a member of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores del Arte in Mexico.
 

Volunteer Profile
 

PROGRAM  1/ Pristina, Kosovo
 

• Residency: Must reside in Pristina, Kosovo.

• Location: Teatri Oda, Pristina, Kosovo.

• Availability: August 29, 30, and 31, 2024.

• Vacancies: 4.

• Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.

• Languages: English level C1. Knowledge of Spanish and Russian is a plus.

• Virtual Meetings: Must be available for two virtual meetings in July and August to get involved in the project and address any questions.

• Time Commitment: 4 hours daily.

• Skills: Prior knowledge in event production and cultural project management.

• Responsibilities: General assistance during rehearsals, setup, and artistic presentation. Documentation of the creative process.
   

PROGRAM  2/ Rennes, France

• Residency: Must reside in Rennes, France.

• Availability: September 13 to 22, 2024.

• Vacancies: 4.

• Age: Between 18 and 35 years old.

• Languages: English level C1. Knowledge of Spanish and Russian is a plus.

• Virtual Meetings: Must be available for two virtual meetings in July and August to get involved in the project and address any questions.

• Time Commitment: 4 hours daily.
